What is this Melamine you speak of?

Kubiq currently has eight colour varieties in the Group One Melamine series for the kitchen and wardrobe panels. You can choose from any of the eight comfortable colours for your cabinets to match the walls and flooring in your humble abode. We keep introduce it to you as our group one melamine laminated material, but what is it exactly? What is this Melamine we speak of?

At it's roots, Melamine is a chemical compound which was first synthesised by German Chemist Justus von Liebig in 1834. Melamine is now commonly made from Urea. But this toxic chemical compound is not what is in our cabinets. Melamine is combined with formaldehyde to produce Melamine Resin, a very durable thermosetting plastic which is often used in the cabinet industry. The Melamine Resin is used to saturate decorative paper which is then laminated under heat and pressure onto particle board. Hence, Kubiq Group One panels are made from the safe and durable Melamine Resin.

We are often asked, is this Formica? To clear things up, No, this is not Formica. Formica is a brand of composite material manufactured by New Zealand based Formica Group. Although their classic laminates may also contain Melamine Resin.

Kubiq (Kitchens Your Way), Kota Kinabalu, Sabah by Rimaju at Metro Town

After grueling hours of familiarising with Blogger to get the hang of things, we Kubiq Kitchen Sabah has finally set up our own blog! We will be using this blog to share some of our updates as well as kitchen information with all of you.

A little information on Kubiq. Under the publicly listed company Signature International Berhad, Kubiq, headquartered in Kota Damansara Petaling Jaya, has been in the market for many years now. Kubiq specialises in providing our end users quality and affordable kitchen cabinets as well as wardrobe systems. For more information you can visit the Kubiq HQ website here.

Turning your design into life.

Kubiq like many other cabinets around utilises the modular system to design your kitchen. This means that your kitchen is designed to fit your space with varying unit modules. However, Kubiq is different from other cabinet providers with its Self-Involvement Concept. The Self-Involvement Concept gives control on the designing and coordinating back to you, therefore transferring all these savings back into your kitchen as a whole. Hence the Kubiq slogan "Kitchens your way". But wait, you say you don't know how to design? No experience? No problem! This is why the Patented Kubiq Ezikit is there in every Kubiq showroom available for you to play around and work your own kitchen. Just simply move the blocks around to a design of your choice and... walla, you've designed your own kitchen! As long as you have your measurements at hand, you can complete the whole process within half an hour of visiting Kubiq!
